Nvidia’s shares slumped after a report suggested it faced growing competition from Google’s AI chips. Nvidia, which designs the chips at the heart of the AI craze, has largely fended off competition since the boom began three years ago. Nvidia hit a $5 trillion valuation last month but has since languished; its shares have fallen more than 14% since, and shed 2.6% on Tuesday.
